There are tons of thoughts and feelings.

It is a dream to Yao Ming to learn from Dream.
Now the dream is true.

WPMU Plugin - LaTex Math
Now it is easy to write equations using LaTex in wordpress!
If you have a LaTex package installed on your web server, then you can use WP LaTex plugin or LaTexRender.
Rubidium is one of the most investigated elements in cold atom physics.
Other alkalis, such as cesium, sodium and lithium, are also used in many atomic physics experiments. This is because their strong D-lines are easily accessible with tunable lasers and offer closed sub-transitions suitable for laser cooling.
Another group of elements that are used frequently are alkali earths, mainly magnesium, calcium and strontium. The singlet and triplet spectrum make them interesting. The narrow line 1S-3P transition is used as a candidate for future optical frequency standards. We are particularly interested in Strontium. (more…)
Here is where I am living.
Here is Beijing home shown on Google map.
Bowen is famous for his defense. Someone said he is the best perimeter defender. But there are many people think he is a dirty player.
Check this video out. You can see Ray Allen, Steve Francis, Vince Carter and Jamal Crawford who were hurt by Bruce Bowen.
Now the list added Amare Stoudemire, “He kicked me purposely in the back of my Achilles. I almost came down wrong and he almost caused an injury,” Stoudemire said after Thursday’s practice. “He’s known for doing that. I just hope the NBA and the commissioner take a look at that because it’s definitely a dirty play.”
I agree that Bowen is both a good and a dirty defensive player. MJ is a good and clean player, so is Shane Battier, even Ron Artest is a good and clean denfender.
PEACE: Howard Stapleton of Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, for inventing an electromechanical teenager repellant — a device that makes annoying high-pitched noise designed to be audible to teenagers but not to adults; and for later using that same technology to make telephone ringtones that are audible to teenagers but probably not to their teachers.
This webpage has the audio.
I listened the audio. It works for me. I am older than 25 years. I can not hear the noise! My roommate is younger than 25. But he can’t hear the high-pitch noise either!
In US, the driving test will last about 20 minutes. The test consists of basic maneuvers you will encounter while driving such as: left and right turns, stops at controlled and uncontrolled intersections, straight line backing, lane changes, driving in regular street traffic, and in some cases driving on the freeway.
Here is “how to prepare driving test” from California DMV. And there is a training guide for teenage drivers. (more…)
“The distributions of wealth, size of earthquakes or number of connections on a computer network often follow power-law distributions rather than the familiar bell-shaped curvepower law. In a power-law distribution, large events are reasonably common compared to smaller events.”
The “rich get richer” effect in networks is called “preferential attachment”.
“They could make tradeoffs between the network distance between nodes and the number of connections between them. By tweaking the conditions, they could make preferential attachment — a power-law distribution of the number of connections — stronger or weaker.
These tradeoffs in networks are an underlying principle behind preferential attachment. The general framework could be extended to all kinds of different networks, in biology, engineering, computer science or social sciences. “
It is always interesting to see things in very different fields share the same underlying principle.
